Certificate of Inspection for Exports to Libya

In May 2015, the Governor of theCentral Bank of Libya (CBL)published resolution n°96, regulating the use of foreign exchange for opening documentary letters of credit (L/C). One of the mandatory L/C requirements was for the exporter to present aCertificate of Inspection (COI)签发的批准spection company, in order to be financed through the documentary L/C.
Some new instructions have been published in CBL note ARN 2020-09 issued on the 31st December 2020, confirming the qualification and accreditation criteria for inspection companies issuing the mandatory Certificate of Inspection. Cotecna fully qualifies to conduct controls and issue a Certificate of Inspection for exporters and importers to meet Libyan Authorities requirements, enable L/C payments and facilitate the entry of goods into Libya.
